Antique Chinese Dragon Etched Solid Brass 7 candleholders Candelabra w/Carved Jade Medallion Inserts. Ornate Brass Fire dragons facing each other represent balance, strength and good fortune. Vintage Tabletop etched in brass Chinese dragon candelabra with seven candle holders features hand carved / pierced off-white jade medallions inserts. The inserts are mostly intact with no cracks from what we can tell. The medallions measure 0.9″ and 2″ in diameter; these intricate jade carvings are star and the design of mythical creature, could be a flying dragon… Please see pictures for more details. Candelabra breaks down into several pieces: base, “dragons face” and seven candleholders with saucers. The base is marked “China” and “Made in China” The candelabra measures 17 1/4″ tall, 20 3/4″ wide, 6 3/4 base diameter. It weights 6 lbs 4 oz. There is some patina, residue from cleaning solvent, a few dents and scuffs, scratches, cavity at one candleholder base that catches solvent residue, but the main issue is that the candelabra needs to be rehomed to the low traffic area – away from husbands, children and pets due to the shuttered connection. It takes a while to balance it and there is a resin cushion pad that helps… However when the parts put together “as is” it is not structurally sound, and not recommended for use until professional restoration fixes the issue. The setting is not noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the piece but does affect its use. We can provide additional pictures for more detailed description.
