RARE Absolutely Stunning Antique Strait Chinese silver dragon panel bracelet/bangle Bracelet has 6 highly skilled craftsmanship hinged panels with hidden tounge and box clasp with double safety chain All the panels have very detailed , meticulously done dragon face with Etruscan wire, granulation work It is handmade and must have taken hours to construct it by skilled silver smith. Dates 1900’s -1920’s Signed SURA 90% (also acid tested for higher grade silver). I have seen this kind of work mostly in Strait Chinese pieces , so most likely its a Strait Chinese bracelet made in and around Singapore area. I think this bracelet is made in Bali. About Straits Chinese The information I gathered is like during late nineteenth century many of straits Chinese pieces were made in Malaysia , Indonesia and Singapore by local Chinese silversmiths who were immigrants from Mainland China Their work were influenced by the local silversmiths who are also immigrated from the neighboring countries These are some of rare pieces to come by. Measurement Bracelet measures little shy to 7 1/2 inches in wearable length x maximum width of 1 inches. Bracelet is light weight and Weighs 27 grams on my weighing scale.
