The shaped rectangular form on tapering notched bamboo foot form is quite unique and pleasing to the eye. This fine c1890 Chinese export silver dragon box is a bit under 5 1/2 inches across. Vintage c1900 Wang Hing Chinese Export Solid Silver Dragon Open Salt Cellar & Liners A lovely pair of matching Chinese Export silver salt cellars adorned with dragons and made by Wang Hing Both are in excellent condition with minimal age related wear that does not detract from its overall presentation or use, there is some minor tarnishing in places. The glass liner of one has two chips to either side, they have been lightly filed at some point to soften the edges of the chips. PLEASE CHECK ALL MEASUREMENTS AND IMAGES. An antique beautiful quality Chinese silver export silver box which has a cylindrical shape with embossed dragons which have exceptional detail/definition one wraps itself around the entire outside the other adorns the top which has a blank/vacant cartouche in the centre and they sit proud of the box. It is a very aesthetically pleasing design even more so with the background to the dragons being planished/hand hammered and the original push lid is a perfect fit and both parts are gilded. It is not a small box and will arrived gift boxed. Material – silver- 90 standard [900/1000]. Hallmarks/marks – WH for Wang Hing & Co-90- unidentified Chinese symbol. Measurements – 5.5cm diameter-4cm high. Weight – 70 grams. Condition – beautiful condition-no dents-holes-splits-some light surface marks to cartouch and underside-lid locates fine and removes fine-there is 1 very small patch of the inside rim that is not 100 % totally smooth but it has no impact on the functionality what so ever and was difficult to capture in the images-but nothing to worry about. An impressive Chinese Export silver bowl , the legs made up of 3 dragons, marked to base showing it was made by Wang Nam & Co of Hong Kong. It does carry an inscription which reads Presented by the boys of the E. O Bird Esq M. A on his retirement on pension, as a souvenir of appreciation of his ever kind interest in us April 1925. S in the inscription is thought to be the Ellis Kadoorie School in West Kowloon, Hong Kong. The bowl is perfect as in no damage or repairs, it does have some staining to the inside which will a more indepth clean to remove. An impressive piece of both good weight and size. With beautifully detailed repousse dragons to lid and sides and rearing dragons as the feet. The box retains its gilded interior.
