Pair of Chinese Antique Silver Pumpkin Form Boxes With Applied Enamel Dragons

Silver boxes of shallow pumpkin form (possibly for trinkets) with applied dragons or lizards enamelled in green and with brown enamelled storks. They are realistically modelled each having a stork and have various markings to the base, please see the 12 photos. Kindly note that I do not speak or read Chinese or Japanese so my attribution is on the basis of the more likely attribution which would appear to be Chinese. Apologies if this is not the case but there are no doubt enough people who will view this and will have the required expertise and language to know their origins, dates etc. Each box has a small loop to the cover, one complete and the other not. If they are related I would be fascinated to know their purpose. There is also one larger green leaf which is on its own. The boxes are in very good condition with no dents. The only condition issue being the end of the loop on the cover as already mentioned. Approximate Width 6.8cm (2 5/8 inches). Approximate height 4cm (1 1/2 inches). A fierce dragon chasing the flaming pearl, all among clouds, in the over the wall style. It bears a six characters mark of the. Reign within a double circle, and is of the period. The dragon is spectacular, represented in a very dynamic pose. Full of energy and movement. For reference, the last picture shows a similar bowl, a bit smaller and in my opinion less. This quality antique Chinese Export Silver open salt pot stands 36mm (1.5″) high x 47mm (1.75″) and weighs 30 grams. It dates to the late 1800’s early 1900’s and is marked to the base with the makers mark for Tuck Chang. It has a well detailed dragon flowing around the body with 4 faux bamboo legs and a bamboo boarder and handles. Antique Chinese Cloisonne Bowl Dragons with Carved Wood Base Qing/Republic. A finely crafted Chinese cloisonne bowl, decorated with two Dragons fighting over a flaming pearl, with a well fitted nicely carved antique wood stand. The bowl with a gilt base and upper rim, the base and interior enameled in forest green. The bowl is approximately 6 inches (15.5 cm) in diameter, and 4 inches (10 cm) high, 5 inches (13.7 cm) high with wood stand. The condition of the bowl is very good – No chips, cracks, or restoration. A few tiny minor dings to the gilt corners of the upper and lower rim edges (see photos), very minor (if any) wear to the enamels. The carved wood stand is also in good condition, minor wear. I double-box all my items, rest assured it will arrive to you safely.
