Antique 19th Century Rank Badge Embroidery – Dragon with Gold & Silver Threads. This Chinese panel measures 11 inches by 9 1/2 inches. There is a Dragon in the centre. I do not believe the photographs I have taken show that it is quite dark in colour – I think the threads are gold and silver ones – the whole embroidery has been done on a very fine black material. The dragon’s eyes are black but slightly raised from the tapestry. There does not seem to be any damage to the embroidery – it is very finely worked with the tiniest of stitches used.
