This fine antique vase has a spectacular scene of an imperial dragon sucking up the ocean and a. Kangxi era Artemisia leaf mark. During the early Qing dynasty, up until the early 1680’s conditions were unsettled in China and the existence of Imperial wares as well as the use of reign marks on porcelain was restricted in various ways. During this period a number of different marks came into use such as this leaf mark. The vase measures 4 3/4 by 4 3/4 inches and is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs. Look carefully at all the photos, they are an important part of the description. ANTIQUE CHINESE QIANLONG MARKED. LARGE BLUE AND WHITE 5 CLAWS DRAGON PORCELAIN BOWL. AGE: Late Qing – Early Republic Period. CONDITION: No damage of any kind, no restoration. DIMENSIONS: 7″ (17.8cm) Top Diameter, 9.5″ (24cm) Mid Region Diameter, 5.25″ (13cm) Base diameter, 5″ (12.7cm) Tall. The exterior of the bowl is delicately painted with 2 five-claws dragons chasing a flaming pearl among clouds, above breaking waves around the base and a ruyi band around the rim. Underneath, it has a 6 character Qing Qianlong seal mark. It’s in excellent condition without any major imperfection, only normal wear and tear. This pretty antique belt has 16 carved pieces measuring 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches, plus 2 uncarved pieces, one with a carved out rectangle the other end has a hook, but the hook is broken.
