Antique Qing Dynasty Polychrome Chinese Warrior On A Dragon Fish
Antique Qing Dynasty Polychrome Chinese Warrior On A Dragon Fish. Offered is this fabulous Chinese warrior riding a dragon fish into battle. His expression is fierce, as is the majestic mythical creature he is mounted on. I obtained this wonderful antique, rare themed creature with warrior tile from a magnificent estate filled with Asian art and artifacts over 30 years ago. On the backside, you can see the piercings for which to suspend the tile. Also, on the backside is the signature. This clay sculpture measures 13″ W x 12″ H x approx 4 3/4 D from the backside of the dragon to the toe of the warrior. The height is adjustable from the acrylic base. As the piece sits now, it stands at 15 H. The base alone is 13″ W x 1″ H, and is beveled at the top. The acrylic base has some scuffs and abrasions but can most likely be polished or buffed out. I found no cracks, chips, or repairs, and even though I do my very best to examine whatever I list for sale, there is always the possibility I may have missed something. Therefore, I ask that you carefully examine all the photos because they are an important part of the description. If you need more photos, or should you have questions specific to this piece, please message me. I thank you for viewing!
