In the decoration, some crafts and methods of the Qianlong period are also used. The rolling process is commonly found on the Jiaqing famille rose round ware. The main difference between Jiaqing pastel official and civil kiln products is in the decoration. The official kiln is mainly decorated with auspicious patterns such as flowers of various colors, butterflies, birds, eight auspicious symbols, cloud, dragon, and phoenix. Folk kilns are dominated by famille rose with white background porcelain, and some novel landscape porcelain paintings have appeared.
