Offered is this wonderful 1920’s pair of period, vintage figurative solid brass candlesticks with wonderful meandering, spiraling upward, long, tailed dragons decorating the candlestick’s ascending from stem bottoms. The solid brass stems sit on top of hollow brass half spheres, which are decorated with Chinese incised marks in the form of images of dragons, repeating the more sculptural, bas-relief dragons depicted on the stems of the candlesticks. The candle holder and fluted top and silled reservoir, to collect the dripping wax and preventing the melted wax from dripping down and coagulating on the decorative shafts and obscuring the carved dragon imagery.
