Hello, you are viewing my listing for a LARGE Antique Pair of Chinese Polychrome Wood Doors with Colorful Engraved Dragons and other Detailed Patterns throughout. These are Magnificent Wood Carved Doors that may have come from a Temple Structure. Each wood door panel weighs approx. 23.4 pounds and measures approx. 81″ tall by 1 and 3/4″ thick by 14 wide. Both doors have wires attached to the back side in case you would like to hang them on a wall. There is some minor wear present to each including some light chips and some minor naturally occurring splits to the wood. There are no breaks or repairs. The details and colors throughout are stunning. These doors would bring attention to any room that they are placed. Please view all my photographs for further details. This chinese bronze Excellent oriental work of art that is perfect to be used as a decorative item in your home. In good overall condition but the verdigris bronze is slightly rubbed/marked in places – please study photos. Size: Approximately Height 20CM. Pair Bronze Foo Dogs Statues. Chinese guardian lions, also called Fu (Foo) Lions, lions of Buddha, or sometimes stone lions (, Pinyin: Shísh) in Chinese art[1], are a common representation of the lion in pre-modern China, which is believed to have powerful mythic protective powers that has traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces, temples, emperors’ tombs, government offices, and the homes of government officials and the wealthy from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), until the end of the empire in 1911. Lions of Fo are always created in pairs, with the male playing with a ball and the female with a cub. They occur in many types of Chinese pottery and in Western imitations[2]. Pairs of Chinese guardian lions, also called Chinese stone lions are still common decorative and symbolic elements at the entrances to restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and other structures, with one sitting on each side of the entrance, in China and in other places around the world where the Chinese people have immigrated and settled, especially in local Chinatowns. In Tibet, the guardian lion is known as a Snow Lion and similar to Japanese shishi. In Myanmar they are called Chinthe and gave their name to the World War II Chindit soldiers. Large Chinese Imperial Qianlong Bottle Vase Fencai Dragon Yellow Famille Rose

LARGE CHINESE QIANLONG FENCAI YELLOW GLAZE DRAGON BOTTLE VASE. The vase is a globular shape with a tapered neck and a round foot. The design features both a green and red dragon against a yellow background. The shoulder of the vase has a band of blue and turquoise flowers against a pink background. The neck of the vase is decorated with flowers, scrolls, and even a few fish. The design is expertly executed and has a textured feel to it. The vase stands about 13 3/4″ tall and the body is approximately 9 1/8″ wide. I don’t know hold old the vase actually is, since many pieces with Qianlong marks were made after his reign to honor the designs from that period. It appears to have some age to it. I’m also including a carved wooden display stand. Condition of this Qianlong dragon vase is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. The yellow enamel has a few small spots of loss exposing the white glaze underneath. I also see a few areas with very minor crazing. These are good signs that the vase has some age to it. Overall, this very fine vase looks fantastic and displays beautifully. It would make a wonderful addition to any Chinese porcelain collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I’ve provided and judge condition for yourself. It could be worth much more, I’m not sure. See my other listings. For more great items!
