Guaranteed to be original and as described — Antique 19th Century late 1800’s to early 1900’s Chinese Qing Dynasty hand carved green Jade Elephant with Dragon saddle. The elephant is expertly carved and the polish patina is superb. On the base there are remains of a old paper collection label. SIZE: 6 1/2 inches wide / long by 4 inches high by about 3 1/2 inches deep.. WEIGHT: 3 pounds 13 ounces.. CONDITION: The condition is as shown.. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are natural fissures in the stone which is mostly always to be expected to be seen in authentic jade… The condition of this is in fine condition for the age.. 5′ 4 TALL 1800s Antique Chinese Dragon Shrine Carved Wood Buddhist AltarTemple

5 Feet, 4 inches tall. 2 piece (shrine & stand). Antique Chinese Dragon Family Shrine, Buddhist Altar/Temple. Octagonal and Intricately Hand. NO two of the 16 Dragons are identical. Comes with removable electrical blue light, and holy statues. From 1644 to 1911. We feel very lucky to have found this lovely work of art during our travels. And very honored to own it. Any reasonable offer with be considered. Note, that the shrine itself is the antique and hand made for a family circa 1850. It fits and looks so perfect, could be mistaken as one piece. (See last photo of the way we discovered the shrine). Shrine Height, including the stand is 64 inches (about 5′ 4 tall). Shrine Width , from tip to tip of each dragon is 28 inches. The Stand itself is 33 inches high. Wood Roof tiles : (hundreds) seem to be carved in section. A small section fell off and we had it repaired. Each of the 8 Dragon Heads on the roof are each i ntricately hand carved. They may look identical but no two are exactly alike. They are 4 inches tall. The other 8 unique Dragons are carved full dragons guarding the outside the the shrine. They are hand carved so accurate and precise that they are actually movable pedestals, that can be turned by hand, around and move up and down. They are 9 inches each. Inside: The shrine has what I call a walkway that goes around the entire shrine, with 8 entrances nicely carved and leading to the main area. Each of those octagonal areas leading into the entrance to the main area are 4 inches wide. The main flat area originally was used for incense or candles top of the inside of the roof shows minor scorched marks. But, you have to look deep inside and up with a flashlight to see it. The height inside from floor to ceiling is 14 inches. The light fixture and blue light will be included. Of course, any light bulb can replaced with. The blue bulb, or not used at all. They are heavy, very fragile, and need to be packed well. Free local pick-up in Sedona, AZ. Additional photos available upon asking. 3 toed Bronze Dragon melon ribbed bowl with glass ball “PEARL OF WISDOM” It is from the 1800’s. It is from an estate of a lady that collected fine Chinese art. The dragon has 3 toes and curls around the top of the bowl. From the top it tapers down in rib form. It measures about 16 1/2 inches across and about 9 inches high. THESE DO NOT JUST SHOW UP EVERY DAY OR EVERY OTHER WEEK, THEY ARE ACTUALLY EXTREMELY RARE. IT IS A GENUINE CHINESE HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN TEAPOT WITH A BLUE & WHITE DRAGON DESIGN ALONG WITH CLOUD SCROLLS. BEAUTIFULLY MODELED IN THE FORM OF A PEACH AND VERY WELL DECORATED BY A PROFESSIONAL ARTIST. THE POT HAS A HOLE IN THE BASE WITH A TUBE RUNNING FROM IT TO NEAR THE INSIDE OF THE TOP. SO THUS, IT CAN BE FILLED THROUGH THE BOTTOM AND THEN TURNED THE RIGHT-SIDE UP WITHOUT SPILLING. THE HANDLE IS NICE AND STURDY AS WELL AS THE SPOUT. THERE IS THE SLIGHTEST OF WEAR WHICH IS ONLY VISIBLE ON THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE CADOGAN ON THE UN-GLAZED RING AROUND THE BASE. BUT IT IS EXPECTED, NORMAL’WEAR’ BECAUSE IT IS JUST BASIC SHELF-WEAR FROM AGE AND SIMPLY SITTING ON SURFACES. THE INNER TUBE AREA WHERE YOU CAN JUST BARELY SEE IS STARTING TO HAVE A BIT OF DISCOLORATION BUT THAT IS PROBABLY JUST FROM TEA BEING POURED THROUGH IT.
