A superb Chinese cloisonne jardiniere, decorated with panels of dragons chasing a flaming pearl, on a black ground with floral and other patterns. In very good condition with very minor enamel scratches and pitting commensurate with age. One very small bruise which barely notices (see photo 9). 29.5 width at widest point. The dish is stunningly painted in famille rose enamels with a central motif of a front-facing five clawed red Dragon with green eyes. The Dragon is surrounded by a number of delicate butterflies, all concealed with an outer boarder of scrolling vines flowers and gourds with four. Various motifs depicting sacred objects and auspicious fruits and flowers. A rare chance to acquire such a beautiful and impressive imperial piece of Chinese porcelain. Please see all Photos.
