Late Qing Chinese’Gold Thread’ Embroidery Sleeve Panels. Delicately Embroidered with Couched Gold Thread on a Blue Silk Ground. I believe them to be a pair of’Sleeve Panels’ stitched together for display purposes. Depicting 5-Toed Dragon and Phoenix amongst Clouds above Rocks & Waves. Late 19thC, Qing Dynasty. The frame measures 52cm x 20cm. Excellent condition with no visible damage, preserved under glass. Framed and ready to hand. Antique Chinese 19th Century Silver-thread Dragon Embroidery Altar Cloth

Dating from the 19. Century, this vibrant Chinese red ground embroidered Altar Cloth displays two large and dynamic 4 toed Dragons (four toes denote a commission by a noble family). Between a central Sun motif, the dragons face each other. Above the two dragons, is a long panel that features 5 cavorting little dragons and tigers in unique individual poses, interspersed with Chinese characters; all are embroidered in heavy silver thread. Condition is generally excellent, without fading (photos only show light shadow) nor is there major damage, except for some small glass mirrors which are loose, and some are missing, as can be seen in the photographs. This interesting Dragon textile measures 2m 10cm wide and weighs 800g, without packaging. 1900’s Chinese Kesi Silk Embroidered Panel in Hardwood Carved Screen with Dragon & 8 Immortals. It is 38.4 inches (97.5 cm) tall by 33.5 inches (85 cm) wide. It is 15.4 Lb. The wood frame has chips, hairline cracks, cracks, gaps, missing small pieces at borders, and surface wears and scratches. One of the glass has a crack. The kesi silk panels have stains and discolorations (as seen in the photos). Some of the photos were taken under the sun. How we pack your item is at our discretion. An antique original Chinese Mandarin forbidden stitch embroidered silk. Depicting a ferocious front-facing, five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl in gold thread, surrounded by auspicious clouds, bats, flaming coin, endless knot with a fish and other motifs, all above three pointed mountains and peonies raised from crashing waves reserved on a pale orange ground, the border adorned with stylised flowers and ruyi scepter with ribbon reserved on a black ground, with wooden frames. For sale is a Chinese silk robe remnant with dragon design on it. This was in an elderly friend of mine’s collection. He traveled extensively through Asia in the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s and collected this in his travels. He bought this at least 20 years ago as an antique, but little is known about it otherwise. There are a few water spots on the fabric, but overall it’s in good condition. This is an extremely rare and interesting item and quite unique.
