RARE ANTIQUE CHINESE BRONZE LOTUS FORM VASE with ENGRAVED DRAGON DESIGN

RARE ANTIQUE CHINESE BRONZE LOTUS FORM VASE with ENGRAVED DRAGON DESIGN. This is a rare antique Chinese bronze vase in a lotus flower form with an engraved dragon design around it. It is of good size and measures approx. 12 inches in height, the top rim is 4 3/8 inches in diameter and the bottom rim is 6 1/8 inches in diameter. If you look at the picture of the bottom it appears that is has traces of a silver wash over the bronze which i have never seen in a Chinese vase. I could not find any writing on the vase. It is a heavy duty quality bronze with no dents or damage. As you can see there is an engraved design of a 3 toe dragon that wraps around the vase. I took close up pictures of basically the 4 sides of the vase to give you a good idea of the engraving and condition of the vase. I also took pics of the interior of the vase to show what it looks like and might give the experts a better idea of the age and how it was made. I tried to do some research on this vase but i could not find anthing similar to it. I could not find any bronze vases that were in a Lotus flower form so teh design of the vase is very unique and rare. I could only find one other Chinese vase with an engraved design and i believe it was from at least the 1700s, usually bronze vases have an applied design or embossed design , it is very rare to have an engraved design. Im definitely not an expert on Chinese bronze items but i do believe this is a pretty early Chinese vase. All items must be paid within 10 days. C1900 LARGE ANTIQUE CHINESE KUT HING SWATOW PEWTER ENGRAVED DRAGON TEA CADDY BOX. A superb hand crafted early 20. Century Chinese pewter tea caddy, of large rectangular form, the lid engraved. With a dragon above rolling waves, the sides with bamboo foliate detail, dating to circa 1900, and made by the well known firm Kut Hing, Swatow. The outer lid lifts off to reveal the inner lid, both of which fit so well that they create a vacuum within the caddy when lifting up the lids, protecting the contents from moisture. The base and the inner lid are signed with a stamped Kut Hing mark together with Chinese characters. Height: 10.2 cm. Cm or 5 1/2. Unpackaged weight: 2.1kg. In good antique condition, without damage or restoration, but with a few expected signs of use and dents to the edges commensurate with age. The case is decorated on each side with an ornate pierced design of a dragon surrounded by clouds. Finished with a chain handle. Hallmarked as pictured on the bottom edge. The case is accompanied by two period lady’s calling cards. In overall excellent condition with general surface wear but no dents, dings, or breaks to the pierced filigree. The clasp closes securely. Measures 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ across, about 7/16 deep. The chain handle measures about 16 long. Total weight of 2.42 troy oz. This ornate card case will make a charming antique accessory.
