Chinese Gold Plated Tin Inlay Blue Porcelain Tea Set. STUNNING 20th century example of the traditional Chinese Traditional Handicraft known as Jin Xiang Yu (Tin Inlay). As I understand it, the base material is Zibo porcelain with 24k gold plated tin inlay. The decoration features the traditional dragon/phoenix design. It is not an antique example, but a 20th century reproduction of the traditional handicraft technique. Such a beautiful combination – rich cobalt blue and bright gold! This set has a lidded teapot and 6 sets of cups and saucers. SIZE: Teapot measures about 7 1/2 wide from handle edge to spout tip. Saucers about 3 3/4 in diameter. Cups about 2 7/8 in to diameter plus the handle. That said, since it is pre-owned, please expect that there may be a few very minor signs of age or use. Antique Han Chinese Dragon Robe gold embroidery Blue Qing 1860s AUTHENTICATED

This professional appraisal was done by : Merr. Ily Peebles, Asian Textile And Costume Specialist in Santa Barbara, CA. A HAN CHINESE WOMANS FORMAL VEST (XIAPEI). REPURPOSED INTO A COAT. Silk Brocade in multi-colors with a dark blue silk satin ground. Rank badge in gold- wrapped-silk couched threads. Height 42 x width 54 1/2 inches. Coat Qing dynasty, 1860s or 70s. Rank Badge late Qing Dynasty, ca 1900. Originally a vest, this garment would have been completely open at the sides and held together with criss-cross straps under the arms. It is now sewn together. The bottom of the garment is subtly pointed on the right and left front, as is correct for a xiapei , but it would have been bordered with an embroidered or woven ribbon facing and completed with a macramé heading ending in long fringes all around the bottom. Sleeves from a Chinese womans. Have been added to the vest. The sleeves are black silk and have blue cuffs couched with gold wrapped threads. The original binding along the front has been replaced with plain black silk. The black silk binding continues at the hem. The garment is decorated with three long dragons, two on the front and one on the back. Taoist emblems including castanets, double gourds, fans, and swords as well as bats, clouds and flowers are scattered over the body of the garment. Lion dogs dance on top of the waves that encircle the bottom of the garment. The center back and front display a fifth rank military badge. The bear, the fifth rank insignia, teeters on the top of the mountain that rises out of the waves. The badge is made of couched gold threads and is appliquéd to the body of the garment. As a husband moved up in rank the wife would replace the badge as needed. This badge is later in date than the garment, perhaps nearer 1900. The colors and quality of the original piece are quite good. In the 1920s Chinese costume was refashioned into evening wear for the western market. Perhaps that was the fate of this coat. In comparison to other types of Chinese garments, formal vests are rare. The original underlying vest is of the age that gives this coat great value. 50g Old Chinese 16k Gold Carved Coral Dragon Bird Paradise Figural Disc Pendant

A Stunning One of A Kind Old Vintage or Antique Chinese 16k Gold Carved Salmon Coral Dragon Bird of Paradise Figural Disc Pendant. The top ring hook is marked 18k as shown in a close up pic. Which 18k mark means very little, because the metal of the pendant was professionally tested and it’s confirmed guaranteed to be solid 16k gold. On my scale item weighs 50 grams, keep in mind that my scale could be slightly off +/. Item is about 2.5″ diameter, or it’s about 3.25″ to end of hook. The pendant has two sides. One with an applied carved coral figural group of a geisha with a child. The figures are embellished with a tree with 17 faceted amethysts or rubies gems, an opal, and an apple green cabochon jade. The back side has a dragon, a bird of paradise with tree faceted rubies or amethysts gems for eyes, and a turquoise cabochon. The coral has 4 or 6 aligned cracks as shown in pic 11, please enlarge to examine it. It’s either the “cracks” were made by the artist, that symmetrically combined two pieces of coral, the geisha, and the child, or it’s the result of an impact or a fall. Regardless, the flaw doesn’t affect the safety, as the coral sits sturdy with tree clamps. The top hook has a minor bent. Otherwise item is solid, gorgeous, and ready to wear. Gold & Silver Inlaid Chariot Ornament. The piece is finely cast and inlaid with precious metals and dates from a renaissance period in the history of Chinese art and archaeology, from the Eastern Zhou Dynasty to the Warring States Period. Inlaid examples such as this, where the subject matter depicts a mythical creature like a tiger or dragon, are particularly highly sought-after. This type of piece represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship and ornamentation in early Chinese art and warfare. The ornament measures approximately 12.2 cm long and is in good stable condition consistent with an item that was previously buried and is over 2000 years old. Much of the gold inlay is missing, but a significant amount of silver inlay is still intact. Surface corrosion is also present along with a small puncture to the top of the ornament. The ornament is comparable to some recent fittings offered at Sotheby’s and Christie’s from major collections, like those of Stephen Junkunc. Overall, a very fine and rare example. Qing Court Dragon Robe. Such a robe would’ve been worn by an official or noble from the Jiaqing to Guangxu Periods. The robe is made of fine silk and embroidered in actual gold and silver wrapped thread – see image 11. The robe is in good condition considering it is around 150 years old. It has wear commensurate with age, including loose, fraying, and torn threads, discoloration and staining, etc. Original buttons are present. The robe would have originally had sleeve extensions and cuffs. Do not expect it to be perfect – this is an actual period robe. That said, it is in very nice condition. Display stand not included.
