Gorgeous Chinese antique red alter or jewelry box decorated with gilt carved figural panel on top and hand painted gold dragons on front and sides. The inside of the box is painted in black lacquer. This box is in very good condition. There is age cracks on the top. The box measures 15 7/8″ wide, 7 5/8″ tall & 8 deep. Most of our items are vintage and in used condition and may not be perfect. This is a nice antique Chinese silk embroidered textile possibly as rank badge / Mandarin square with a gold 5 claw dragon, waves & bats decoration. It also has the auspicious symbol of a Swastika which is a sign of prosperity. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with 1 small discolored spot shown in pic 11 but other than that very good condition and it comes exactly as shown. The frame measures 16 1/4″ x 18 3/4″ and the main section is 9 1/2″ x 11 /4″. This beautiful Chinese robe is made from purple silk satin, it fastens down the front with frogs. It’s hand embroidered with bats, flowers, moths and has large metallic gold couched dragons in front, back and on the sleeves. It’s lined in a pale green silk damask. The piping on the edge of the embroidered yoke is frayed a bit on both shoulders, otherwise excellent. It measures 45 inches around the chest and is 45 inches long.
