This is a wedding gown jacket made of black silk satin. The style structure is a short gown with stand-up collar, double breasted, long and narrow sleeves. Green onion thread, twisted and coiled pattern, and a pair of embroidered straps (embroidered with a pair of dragon and phoenix patterns) stitched on the bottom of the open placket, the whole garment is bright and dazzling. The front and back of the body are embroidered with dragon and phoenix and peony patterns, which symbolize auspiciousness and wealth, and are surrounded by cloud patterns. The placket, cuffs and hem are embroidered with the sea water river bud pattern necessary for traditional official clothes. The use of dragon and phoenix patterns is also a grand folk wedding The Setsun. This is a very rare and special old piece in fantastic basically perfect condition. Pink silk lining in tact. It is a 5 claw 8 dragon robe and is in wonderful, firm condition for being 140 years old. All the buttons are original. This is a rare estate find from the 1860’s. The total height is about 53 inches, from sleeve to sleeve the measurement is 84 inches. The bottom is 38 inches across and below the arms it is 26 inches across. An incredible pair of genuine antique Chinese late Ming/early Qing dynasty 16th/17th century solid 22K gold dragon-fish hoop earrings. This amazing pair of solid 22K gold genuine Chinese 16th/17th century earrings have a hollow frame for wearing comfort and have been designed as superbly detailed leaping dragon-fish, the wires circling around to their mouths to complete the loop. They have a hollow design for wearing comfort. The details are fabulous all over with a combination of breathtaking filigree work, bead work and wire work to create the dragon-fish scales, flame-like manes, pierced head, curling horns and all with beautiful scrolling details throughout. The earrings have signatures on little applied gold panels inside the hoop which have worn over time. The earrings test for 22K gold. The earrings measure approximately 1 1/4 inches across. This is an antique Chinese gold thread dragon embroidery. It measures 72 x 34 inches. The dragons are made of gold thread but some of the thread is coming loose in the design.
