A rare Chinese, intricately hand-carved wooden cane/wand/rod, an impressive piece of artisan craftsmanship. The intricately-carved, winding dragon design on the surface is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of its creator. It is difficult to determine the age of this piece, but its quality and attention to detail suggest that it is an antique original from China. In doing limited research, I have not found any others. It is created almost totally from wood, except for metal tip, aged to a golden brown patina; stable, tight hairline cracks appear in several areas. It measures 16 1/2″ in length; 1 1/2″ in diameter at greatest point (handle). No hallmarks or signatures have been observed. This piece is ideal for collectors of Asian antiques and those interested in rare and unique items. WEIGHT: 5.6 ounces without packaging.
