For sale is a beautiful Antique Chinese Porcelain Snuff Bottle. The bottle has ” pillar ” shape and is decorated with finely hand painted five-claw dragon chasing the flaming pearl. The design of such bottles was inspired by the tradition of wrapping the columns of a palace with dragon design rugs. The rugs were connected in a way which looked as if the dragons are embracing the pillars. In excellent condition considering the age. No chips or cracks! It is unmarked and there is no cap. There are some typical manufacturing imperfections like black dots to the glaze. Please inspect the pictures! Measurements: 8.6cm high x 2.2 cm diameter. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS. A fine and rare 19th c. Chinese embroidered silk and gold thread child’s robe. The traditional robe is embroidered with 8 large flying dragons. The collar and front flap edge are embroidered with a band of additional dragons in gold. The ground of the robe is in a brown silk and is embroidered with various attributes in colorful silk. The base of the robe is decorated with a band of alternating colors of blue, pink, red, green, and yellow. The inside of the robe is finished in a light blue silk. Condition is very fine with no losses or repairs. It dates from mid to third quarter of the 19th c. And descended in a prominent Princeton, NJ family from the 19th c. We have the privilege to offer you this fabulous Chinese Qing Dynasty silk Imperial robe from the 1860 period, having multi-colors of blue, red, purple and grey enhanced with multi gold threads. It is a 5 claw 8 dragon robe and is in wonderful, firm condition for being 140 years old. All the buttons are original. This is a rare estate find from the 1860’s. The total height is about 53 inches, from sleeve to sleeve the measurement is 84 inches. The bottom is 38 inches across and below the arms it is 26 inches across.
