An antique Chinese export silver dragon bowls. Openwork, pierce body decorated with 3 dragons chasing a flaming pearl. Diameter: 120 mm, height: 73 mm. LARGE pair of CHINESE EXPORT solid silver DRAGON & PHOENIX VASES. Signed c1900

OVER THE NEXT WEEK, I WILL BE LISTING SOME VERY DECORATIVE, UNUSUAL AND STYLISH ITEMS OF ENGLISH, AMERICAN, CONTINENTAL AND CHINESE EXPORT SILVER. Each vase is heavily chased and engraved with a large FULL BODIED DRAGON and a FLYING PHOENIX. There is a central MAGIC PEARL. The vases are clearly signed to the underside, China c. These lovely vases each measure 19.25cm (7.5 inches) high and weigh a combined 360 Grams (11.57 troy ounces). I have had a special interest in CHINESE EXPORT SILVER since the early 1990s and have owned many, many wonderful pieces. I have a good eye and knowledge and completely stand behind the items I sell. A beautiful rare antique Chinese export silver card case. It is hallmarked with a Chinese character, the 85 standard mark, and makers mark HO, I would date this piece to c1890. It has been superbly made being embossed with a dragon on one side bamboo on the other. It is in superb condition being free from splits holes and repairs, the lid fits tightly, the are initials to the cartouche. 1930’s Chinese Silver (tested silver with acid silver test) & Purple Peking Glass Bowl with Dragon Marked. It is 2.4 inches (6 cm) tall by 4.1 inches (10.5 cm) wide. The silver bowl is 58.78 gram. Total weight is 252 gram measured with glass bowl. It has tarnished silver and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos). How we pack your item is at our discretion. Antique late-19th Century Chinese export solid silver three piece tea set, comprising of teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug, each spherical body applied with exquisite dragons in relief, spout, handle and feet modelled as a bamboo branch and lids mounted with cherry tree blossom branch. ANTIQUE 19thC CHINESE EXPORT SOLID SILVER DRAGON TEA SET, WANG HING c. Wang Hing was the trading name chosen by the Lo family who established the business and passed it down for generations until 1941. Although we dont have any information about the founder of the company, we know that the Lo family was a wealthy merchant family living in one of the richest and buzzing areas of Canton, the district of Xiguan. Thanks to the fine quality of the pieces and to the entrepreneurial abilities of the family members, the reputation of the firm grew and in 1920s Lo Hung Tong, grandson of the founder, opened a shop at 10 Queens Road, Hong Kong and in Shanghai. Wang Hing artworks became very popular among Western clients, who often commissioned trophies and presentation pieces decorated with the traditional Chinese motifs such as dragons, bamboo leaves and prunus blossoms. This item has travelled through 4 generations in my family and now I need to find it a new home. A Chinese/ Canton export solid silver mug, of tapering cylindrical form. With hollow “S” scroll dragon handle, the double walled sides chased. With a ancient war scene with figures, castles, and houses. Centred by an oval panel scroll engraved as shown on mug. Height: 8.7cm Diameter: 6.3cm tapering to 5.7cm. The handle has at some point, we belive 100 years ago come away and been reattached further up than orignally placed.
