Chinese Walking Stick Cane Solid Silver Collar Malacca Wood Shaft Dragon Design

Lovely Malacca wood and solid silver walking stick or cane. The silver has the Chinese export mark which I think is for 900 silver standard and the makers mark for Po Cheng (Hong Kong) between 1890 and 1930 hence my date estimate of C1900. The silver collar is beautifully decorated with a three claw dragon and is mounted onto a strong Malacca shaft. Lovely tagua nut pommel grown from the elephant palm and native to South America. It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 4.8 cm 1 7/8 inches wide. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel. It’s in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you’d expect at this age. Some age and use marks to the silver as shown but very light, please see the pictures. Chinese Export Silver Lidded box Wang Hing 198g A splendid late 19th century Chinese export silver lidded, circular container or box by Wang Hing. With beautifully detailed repousse dragons to lid and sides and rearing dragons as the feet. The box retains its gilded interior. It is stamped WH 90 on the base, together with a Chinese character mark. It is in very good condition with very minor marks. Height 6.5 cm, diameter 11 cm (including feet). Thank you for reading. Each having a dragon encircling body and a further dragon with movable tongue serving as support between vase and flared circular foot. Hallmarked’WS’ (Woshing of Shanghai) and Chinese character mark. Dating 19th Century, Qing Dynasty. Good overall condition as per image.
