Antique Chinese Ming Style Octagonal Plate Blue White Porcelain Winged Dragon. The artwork on this antique blue and white plate is lovely and exquisitely detailed. Among the trees and hills in the center of the plate you can see a flying dragon coming in from the upper left area. This fascinating piece of artwork is a worthy collection piece. It will look wonderful in any room and location you choose to display it. The dimensions are approximately 10-1/4″ wide by 1-3/8″ deep. This stunning piece is in very good antique condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. It has dimples and raised imperfections that occurred during the firing process, which you can see in the last four photos. Antique vintage Chinese Longma winged horse dragon pewter car mascot figurine

He we have a vintage Longma (a mythological winged horse/dragon) pewter car mascot or figurine. It has a repair to a wing but otherwise in good order. I have taken plenty of photos to allow you to judge the condition too. It is shown with the battery for scale but also to make it stand up for the photos – it needs to be fixed in place for it to stand properly. Unsure of its original use. It has certainly been fixed to something in the past. The approximate dimensions are as follows. Length – 12 inches. Height – 5.5 inches. Width – 4.5 inches. Weight – 965 g. UNUSUAL 17/18C CHINESE MING QING DYNASTY WHITE HETIAN JADE WINGED QILIN DRAGON. Hi, thank you for having a look at my auctions. Provenance: This week at Joanies we are very excited to be offering this amazing and important Chinese Jade and Scholarly Stone collection. If you frequent my auctions you may remember we featured part of this amazing jade collection last year that brought some incredible interest. To start this fall season the family is allowing us to sell the remainder of this collection and what they believe to be the finest and most important choice examples. This sale features the important estate collection of A. Abraham was a highly respected Asian Arts dealer, appraiser, and collector in the 1950-70s period. Abraham owned the Imperial Jade Shop located in the famous King Edward Hotel in Toronto until his retirement in the year 1976, 39 years ago. Abraham kept some of his favorite and most cherished examples that are presently listed here. Abraham had a keen interest in Ming and Pre-Ming ancient Jades. The pieces in this collection have been in storage since the shop closed in 1976 and have not seen the light of day until now. I do wish everyone the very best of luck winning the auctions! This figure was noted in the collection as being a late Ming Dynasty example, which I believe to be a correct dating. On some later Ming to transitional period ceramics I have seen some winged qilin dragons like this but this is the first example I have seen in jade. I have had this figure inspected by our local gemologist we have worked with not upwards of ten years. They have confirmed this figure is carved of a choice hu of pure white hetain jade. This figure could use a light cleaning but is otherwise in fine original condition with no damage. This figure came from the estate with this nice hardwood stand that displays the figure nicely. The figure is a great display piece measuring 2 3/8 inches long, by 3/4 of an inch wide. The figure measures 1 3/4 inches tall without its stand, and 2 3/8 inches tall with its stand.
