FABULOUS CHINESE QING DYNASTY SILK IMPERIAL 8 DRAGON 5 CLAW PURPLE, GOLD THREAD ROBE C-1860. We have the privilege to offer you this fabulous Chinese Qing Dynasty silk Imperial robe from the 1860 period, having multi-colors of blue, red, purple and grey enhanced with multi gold threads. It is a 5 claw 8 dragon robe and is in wonderful, firm condition for being 140 years old. All the buttons are original. This is a rare estate find from the 1860’s. The total height is about 53 inches, from sleeve to sleeve the measurement is 84 inches. The bottom is 38 inches across and below the arms it is 26 inches across. This is an antique Chinese gold thread dragon embroidery. It measures 72 x 34 inches. The dragons are made of gold thread but some of the thread is coming loose in the design. For sale is a Late 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty Rank Badge Style Textile with satin and silk threading with a Gold Threaded 4 claw Dragon central figure. The 5 claw dragon was worn by Imperial Chinese figures. We are unsure if this is a textile for display or an official rank badge. We believe it to be a Qing dynasty display textile. It is Gallery framed and matted for a beautiful display. Have not removed it from the frame for examination. Framed – 21 x 18 1/2. Textile (visible) – 10 1/2 x 6. Late Qing Chinese’Gold Thread’ Embroidery Sleeve Panels. Delicately Embroidered with Couched Gold Thread on a Blue Silk Ground. I believe them to be a pair of’Sleeve Panels’ stitched together for display purposes. Depicting 5-Toed Dragon and Phoenix amongst Clouds above Rocks & Waves. Late 19thC, Qing Dynasty. The frame measures 52cm x 20cm. Excellent condition with no visible damage, preserved under glass. Framed and ready to hand.
