Antique Chinese Summer Gauze Silk Embroidered Dragon Robe. Century or Late 18. This is the front of a robe. A very early antique summer BROWN silk gauze, five dragon embroidered piece. Hand stitched it depicts 5 dragons amongst swooping bats, and flowers, amongst flowing clouds, above rolling waves with the land uprising. It is in strong condition, showing age, lightly soiled, please note the top right shoulder is cut out. I do not know the history of this robe frontal piece. It is said that BROWN is considered an off shade of yellow, and was used by other members of the Imperial Family….. This piece could be IMPERIAL. It measures 51 inches from sleeve tip to tip. It is 66 inches long. Condition Good, good overall old look, showing age, lightly soiled, cut at shoulder. Size —51 x 66 inches. Age — 1790 – 1850. It will be packed in a small box. Mirror Pair of Antique Chinese Cloisonne Red Ground Vases with Dragon Panels. Each vase has four Dragon panels, two with a blue background, two with a black background. The dragons on each vase are a mirror reflection of the dragons on the other vase. The cloisonne wires and enamel are in excellent antique condition, with no cracks, losses or dents at all. The gilding to the top of the necks is rubbed / scratched. No gilding to the bases. 25cm tall x 16cm wide. Too big to go with a small parcel service. WONDERFUL ANTIQUE SET CHINESE EXPORT SILVER 6 CUPS & SAUCERS DRAGON DECOR 1880. Ornate antique set of Chinese export silver cups and saucers – Canton province, circa 1880. The main motif on both cups and saucers, is a Deeply chased, highly detailed pair of Dragons – very dramatic 3-dimensional depiction of 4-claw dragons chasing the heavenly pearl – on the cups the dragon heads meet on both side of a shield-shaped monogram plate. The saucers with a large Chinese character at the center with 2 dragons chasing each other around the rim. The cups with an UNUSUAL snake handle, finely depicted with a swirled tail, their heads pick over the rim. Condition is excellent for the age – no losses, dents or repairs – a minor, general age ware – please view detailed pictures. Each cup is 9.3 cm wide including handle – mouth diameter is 6.5 cm and the height is 7.5 cm – each saucer is 12.3 cm in diameter – the total combined weight is 767.5 grams.
