Antique Chinese Table Gong on Lacquered Base, Hand Painted Cloud Dragon on Gong. We have no information on the history of the gong, but based on the wood work along the base and the rope attached to the back of the gong, we estimate it to be from the 19th century or earlier. The base is kept together by a wooden, hand carved dole and pin – there are no modern screws or nails. The hand carving is exceptional. The piece is in used, antique condition with signs of age.
