Vintage Navy Blue Embroidered Chinese Silk Robe Butterflies Dragons. Amazing dark blue silk robe embroidered throughout with white, light blue, and royal blue flowers, butterflies and featuring beautiful embroidered dragon roundels at the chest and back! In good vintage condition. Please see the bottom of this description for notes on how I rate my vintage clothing and textiles. One repair to the sleeve seam. One small hole on the sleeve. Some stains to the lining. Lining stains arent visible when robe is being worn. Missing 1 front ribbon tie and one frog closure at the bust area. One small area (about 2.5) on one sleeve where there is a shredded area. Flaws shown in photos! Im more than happy to provide additional photos or details. Bust: 26 inches across front. Length: 37 inches from shoulder to hem. Sleeve length: 16 inches from underarm to cuff. Please keep in mind that this is vintage clothing. Vintage clothing WILL have flaws as it is not new. I have done my best to describe every flaw I see and all details of the robe with care, but I may have overlooked something small. Colors vary across devices and computer screens. My condition grades for vintage clothing. Very good: One or two very minor flaws! Good: Some flaws throughout commensurate with age. Very small holes, light fading, light stains, etc. Can be worn with care. Fair: Will have many flaws including but not limited to– larger holes, stains, visible repairs. May need repairs in order for item to be wearable. Poor: For pattern or study only. My home is a smoke-free, pet friendly home with dogs and cats. I dont know the history of most items I sell, but if I notice strong smoke or mildew odors, I will mention it in the condition notes. Please keep this in mind if you or anybody in your household is allergic to pet dander! Chinese Imperial Blue Chifu Robe 9 Dragons. Chinese Imperial blue chifu or formal court robe. Blue silk embroidered in gilt thread with nine dragons, indicating the wearer was an official of the first, second, or third rank. Midnight blue lower sleeves, cuffs, and collar, also with gilt embroidery. The cuffs are lined with pale blue silk. The robe is fastened with five gilt buttons. This robe is a stunning and a high quality example of Qing court attire. Height: 53 1/2 in x width (sleeve to sleeve): 87 in. Listed here is a very fine Chinese or Manchu robe. The length would indicate it was for a Manchu woman. Finely embroidered with flower baskets and individual flowers and butterflies. Contrasting borders and small cloud collar with satin stitch embroidery of maidens in garden settings. The sleeves are unusual with a dragon and phoenix design possibly indicating use as a wedding robe or some association with a wedding ceremony. Outstanding condition with no stains or damage to be seen. It measures 48 inches long and sleeves 49 inches sleeve end to sleeve end. Beautiful Vintage Chinese Embroidered Dragons Waves Black Robe Jacket

This might be something more like a piece of art you hang from a rod in your living room than something to wear. But you could surely make an entrance for a night at the opera! It’s a black silk and rayon Chinese robe with dragons all over it. At the bottom are the classic waves and over the body of the robe are 4 toed dragons chasing the flaming pearl. The measurement underarm to underarm is 25 inches. From sleeve end to sleeve end is 58 inches. From shoulder to hem is 40 inches. This is actually quite wearable. The sleeves are 3/4 length and I would guess the size at somewhere around a medium to large ladies. I apologize for the quality of some of the pictures. The snow was reflecting back on this and creating shadows. The black silk background fabric is entirely black and not faded in any way. The colors on this are very vibrant.
