A side facing Imperial Chinese dragon roundel. Qing Dynasty, circa 1800. Embroidered with a five clawed dragon clasping the flaming pearl. As the Dragon is shown having captured the Flaming Pearl of wisdom, this roundel would once have been worn by a high ranking member of the Imperial family. This may have been appropriate for the surcoat of a Prince or Duke. SIZE: brown silk square is 32 cm x 30 cm. Brown silk has now shattered. Actual embroidery is strong and stable and in good condition. All non paying buyers are then permanently blocked from all our future auctions. That has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. Lapis lazuli was being mined in the Sar-i Sang. Mines and in other mines in the Badakhshan. Province in northeast Afghanistan. Included in the sale is an impressive collection of Chinese porcelains, bronzes, jades, paintings, and other works of art. 99 with NO RESERVE. Thank you for looking and good luck!!! The vase is decorated around the body in underglaze blue and red with dragons and flames all done in relief flying around small roundels each containing scenes of figures within a landscape. The detail int he work is exception as can be seen in the photos. The underside is marked in the center and the foot rim reveals a smooth snow white paste. It appears that the vase was cut down at some point but displays well as can be seen in the photos. In addition there are some shallow chips and a couple lines extending from the rim. Finally there is a scratch through the mark on the base. A very unusual piece of Chinese porcelain from the Kangxi period. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. This allows us time to inspect the item and take additional photos if needed. This listing is for a beautiful Chinese porcelain planter dating to the 19th century. The planter is hand painted around the exterior with underglaze blue and red dragons bordered by bands of stylized waves circling the outside. The planter has a squared off top rim painted with blossoms in blue accented with red. It is a large piece measuring 18 inches (45.75cm) across and standing 16 inches (41cm) tall. The planter has been split and professionally restored. The restoration is as good as we have seen and is extremely difficult to notice. This listing is for a nice lot of Chinese blue and white porcelain dating to the Qing Dynasty. The first is an eight sided miniature vase with each side having a hand painted dragon in flight and dragon mark on the underside. It stands 2.7 inches tall and is in very good condition. The second piece is a covered seal paste box with a dragon on the cover and a four character mark on the underside. The box measures 2.75 inches across. There is a firing line on the rim of the cover which extends to a hairline. A wonderful lot of early Chinese blue and white dragon decorated porcelain.
