This week Chamberlain Antiques is pleased to offer over 250+ lots of fine Asian antiques and works of art. This listing is for a wonderful and high quality Chinese cut overlay glass snuff bottle dating to the 19th century. The bottle is decorated with a dragon wrapped around the outside surrounded by clouds and above the crashing waves below. The detail is exceptional and is the highest relief work we have ever seen on a bottle of this type. The glass stands 2.7 inches tall to the top rim and comes with a green glass stopper. Condition of the bottle is excellent with the exception of a flake on the top of the flattened rim. Just an extraordinary glass snuff bottle from the 19th century. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. This allows us time to inspect the item and take additional photos if needed. The body of the ewer divided in three sections by raised bands with crass hatched design. Each section beautifully decorated with life like dragons on a ground of crashing waves. The spout in the form of a dragons head and the reverse with two dog head handles. The ewer stands 13.75 inches (35cm) tall and is in very good condition with the exception of a small area of repair and hairline on the raised rim. A beautiful and bold piece of Kangxi period porcelain. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. Antique Chinese Necklace Silver Jade Carved Gems Dragon Court Prayer 36105gr

I believe its Chinese in origin and here’s why. The heavy tea pot type hangers, the dragon head on one of the claws, the high quality jade Bi that’s lotus flower set… For these reasons I think its Chinese. The lady I bought this from inherited it years ago. Her mother was a world traveler & expert collector of fine tribal and cultural jewelry. I think this is the best piece yet. Measuring from the end of the chain to where the largest amulet joins is 18 inches. (36total length apx) The large amulet and the 3 dangles would add another 2.5-3 inches. The diameter of the jade donut (bi) is apx 5/8ths inch. It spins freely in a lotus decorated bezel. The large amulet has a center collar so it can move freely too. I think all the beads are stone. Carnelian turquoise and coral? The largest claw is apx 3″ + 2″of dangle chain. The smaller about 2.5. The decoration on the smaller ones bezel has a dragon head. I’ not sure what the other is meant to represent. In the last 2 pictures you will see my test stone results and the only possible repair. I tested the hand made chain on left spot, the tip of a teapot, and the tip of a claw bezel. All three places show high content silver results. The last picture shows where I believe a “collar” was added to firm up the joint between the 2 bulbous beads of a teapot. The section that is made up of the 3 teapots and the dangles is sewn on with silk. Same with the 4 inches of work just below the claws and the teapot section. Maybe this necklace was to be worn on special events? I’m convinced its quite special. It weighs 105 grams. Please check out my other items. Thank you and Good luck! The carving is done from an white stone with just a hint of celadon and depicts a dragon in a recumbent pose with his head turned back. The carving displays nice detail and is well polished. This listing is for a beautiful Chinese blue and white porcelain dish. The dish is hand painted in the center with a detailed dragon flying amongst flames and a pearl. The underside of the rim is decorated in matching pattern with each individual scale of the dragon hand painted. The base bears a neatly written Qianlong seal in underglaze blue and is of the period. It measures 6.8 inches across and is in excellent condition with only wear to the glaze consistent with age. In addition, all questions must be asked at least 12 hours prior to a lot closing. BEAUTIFUL LARGE ANTIQUE OLD CHINESE KESI SILK DRAGON ROBE 19C

This listing is for a lovely Chinese Kesi robe dating to the 19th century. The robe of a blue ground is intricately decorated with a pattern of dragons in flight surrounded by clouds and other objects above a band of stylized waves below. The sleeves with gilt thread bands and the buttons of a gilt metal. The robe stands 50 inches tall and measures 78 inches across the sleeves. There is some significant wear to the robe. There are a couple holes in the outer layer which have been pictured, there are some loose and missing gilt thread bands, the ends of the sleeves are deteriorated. Please see photos for details.
